Fast delivery, just what I needed. I quickly installed a IDE hard drive, plugged the usb cable in to another computer, and was able to read my data. I particularly bought this unit because it supports older IDE as well as SATA hardrives. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. |

Very easy to assemble. Looks good and works great. No fan to wear out and pull in dust - yet the convection cooling is very effective. I wish it would spin down the drive after so many minutes of non-use but everything else about this product is fine. |

Disappointing, Case is metal but when you open it it falls apart. It goes back together but is cheap. It is lightweight and it does work as an enclosure. I bought this to use a pile of old 250GB IDE HDDs for backups and images and because the mfg leads you to believe that it supports IDE-SATA to USB-eSATA. I wanted IDE to eSATA for the speed and ease. Such is not the case. It will NOT read IDE on the eSATA interface. The manual does not even acknowledge an eSATA port is on it and the driver disk will not read in any machine. I gave it 1s accross the board because it does not support IDE to eSATA which is the only reason I bought this enclosure. |
