Good fan. I've had no problems with it and it runs pretty quiet. There is a little noise but not too bad. I agree that the only option being with a red LED kinda sucks but the fan is good quality but is a little bit of a pain to install.
Be Careful, Runs FULL speed only on Asus M2N-MX

Be careful with this. I put it on a Asus M2N-MX AM2 mobo, and it only runs at FULL speed all the time. This fan is supposed to be PWM adjustable with 4 pin connector, but runs FULL speed only. This is VERY loud. Contacted company and they were no help.

Replaced ZeroTherm CF900 with this one. BTF90 Idles at 35-39 degrees Celsius and 830 RPM, CF900 used to idle at 35-39 degrees Celsius and 980 RPM, and intel Q9550 stock heat sink fan used to idle at 39-42 degrees Celcius at around 1200 RPM. BTF90 keeps mt Q9550 at around 52-58 degrees under 100% load and still at 840 RPM, CF900 used to keep it at 56-59 degrees under 100% load and 1600RPM, and stock HSF at 66-68 under 100% load. BTF90 fits my Asus P5KPL-VM much better than CF900 did. The fan is very quiet. Very good product overall. I am impressed with Apack's Zerotherm product line.

Went in quickly and easily on the ASUS M4A785-M motherboard w AMD Phenom X4. Very quiet and cool. Priced a bit on the high side but if it keeps the system running it's worth it.
If you’re running one of the latest CPUs then most probably you will need a CPU cooler. Gone are the days when PC CPUs could get away with just a little aluminum heat sink stuck on top of them, or no cooler at all. Today’s CPUs pump out so much heat when they run on full blast the small aluminum heat sinks and fans of yore are just not going to work at all. You need a pretty big heat sink, with a fan on it, to shift all that heat away. The faster a given CPU runs, and the higher its supply voltage, the more heat it emits. If the cooling system attached to the top of the chip cannot dissipate that heat well enough, the CPU will get too hot and simply stop working.
A good CPU cooler will make your PC cooler and allow you to over clock your CPU to higher frequencies than is possible with its standard cooler. And with so many good, low-priced CPU coolers available, there's no reason not to upgrade. This is what ZEROtherm is proud to introduce in the market, its latest creation – the ZEROtherm BTF90 High-End CPU Color. The device has polished copper base and heat pipes, as well as optimized airflow and styled fin designs. It also can be fitted to any CPU component and also provides silent operation; the ZEROtherm BTF90 delivers superior cooling performance for Intel and AMD CPUs.
Sporting a massive copper base, eight heat pipes, and copper fins, the BTF90 undoubtedly is a high end CPU thermal cooling solution. The ZEROtherm BTF90 High-end CPU Cooler is the only ZEROtherm product that has an easy Socket AM2 mounting mechanism. The Socket AM2 mounting mechanism is easy to fit, and can be mounted on motherboards with either vertically or horizontally orientated CPU sockets, and direct hot air out of the rear of the case.
The BTF90 CPU cooler has polished copper base that ensures maximum heat transmission from high temperature areas with your PC. This high-end 92 x 92 x 25mm CPU cooler comes with an innovative fin design cut that looks like butterfly wings and high quality polished heat pipes that delivers superior cooling performance of the PC and maintains a low 18 dBA noise output.
Furthermore, the BTF90 CPU cooler is compatible with many popular PC components like Intel Core 2 Duo series and Extreme series, Intel Pentium series, Intel Celeron series, AMD Athlon 64 series including the 64 FX, and AMD Sempron series. This will ensure efficient performance quality on the most enhanced CPU systems.
If you are into overclocking CPUs, or if you simply want to prolong the life of your CPU, then the ZEROtherm BTF90 High-end CPU Cooler may be a worthwhile investment to add more years and reliability to your desktop PC.
