I am impress by how quite this fan is. I am not a tech guy so that is all I can offer. If you need a fan this one seams like a good one. |

All I can say is, Nice, very Nce. I haven't really worked the CPU very hard yet, but I have yet to see temps over 29c. I'm sure they'll go up when I start working the proc, but I doubt I'll see anything close to 40c.

Works as advertised and fits in a standard case. Takes up the same room as the stock intel fan except it is a few inches taller but doesn't sprawl all over the motherboard. Very quiet and has been running for over a month without an issues. My Quad cpu temp sits around 40 at rest and around 48 or 49 with all 4 processors at full load. |

Unlike some other aftermarket fans which sprawl out and hit the PS or the memory slots, or whose pipes do; this unit's size is upward, like a tower and should - footprint-wise - fit into any 775 motherboard.
Unlike some others, I had zero problems with the clips. In fact, it was so easy I double and triple checked to make sure it was attached well. It was.
The fan is not silent but is as close as I've heard. It is significantly quieter than the stock Intel sink/fan and is also quieter than the other fans I tried (Thermaltake Silent 775D and ZeroTherm CF900).
It does keep my CPU cooler than the stock sink/fan, though not as cool as the Silent 775D did. With stock fan, in light use, I run around 50C. With this unit, same type of conditions, I hold stead at 48C. If you are overclocking and looking for serious cooling, I would think that this is not your fan.
If, however, you are just needing a replacement 775 sink/fan, and you want it to keep cool, fit, and be quiet, this works well. |
