Of the many cube boxes I've used to build workstations, this one stands out. Lots of nice touches. The power supply, hard drive, CD-ROM-3.5" drive racks, and the motherboard are all easily removed. (The power supply rack and HDD racks are the only ones not removable without a screwdriver.) Lots of ventilation holes in the top sides, front, and back. The front panel wires are color coded to match the codes on the mobo (nice touch making it easier to build). Lots of room to accommodate a full-size ATX power supply. The only downsides are (1) I'm not a big fan of hidden CD-ROM panels, but this one works and can be removed if desired; (2) I'd prefer to have the front panel ports on the front, rather than the side edge, but its OK; (3) I miss having a temperature gauge to monitor heat load, and (4) the fans are pretty tiny (two 60 mm in the back and a 90 mm in the front) but it seems to run coole enough. You can add another 60 mm back fan if desired. Heavy construction. Excellent. |

I think the person who wrote the previous review didn't realize that this case is for mATX motherboard. It is a beautiful case. The removable motherboard tray makes it very easy to add or remove components. I really wish that you could mount a larger fan but since the components are relatively smaller it is not a problem. I did an amazing amount of research before I bought this case. People have been able to fit their 9800GTX's, ATI HD4870X2's, and other full-size dual slot cards. If you are looking for a good portable and light case, the LANBOX Lite is just for you. |
