The performance and install are great but the sound audio portion does not work and its not worth the effort of removing the board to get a replacement. They should burn in before shipping. |

I bought this board to replace a dead mobo and resurrect a 1994 T2825 Emachines tower that I really like. This PCCHIPS board is a very good match, size and feature wise, to the old board. It needed a heatsink for the CPU. My old RAM was compatible. I had to run the drivers disk three times to get everything to work, but it's up and running. My only concern was the SIS965L IC that didn't have a heat sink was running hot. I suspect that's what killed the Emachines mobo, so I installed a sink on that chip and put a fan in the rear of the tower. Now everything runs cool. I'm very pleased with this purchase! |

Worked right out of the box. No issues. Only 754 board I could find. So I was glad to get it. |

One of two different PCChips boards bought in the same order, both DOA, no POST beep, nothing. Will not order from PCChips again. |

First three attempts at booting it couldnt even get to the POST screen, just a black screen, fans spinning etc. Turned it off reseated the RAM and got it to boot after the fourth attempt. Everything works fine now and it works great as a file server. I went with 1gb of ddr 333 even though stamped on the motherboard it says ddr400 when the manual says its compatible with ddr333 and 266 only. I am happy with my purchase. |
