I have always been well served with APC products. I don't even bother trying another manufacturer. Thay can be a little higher in price, but it is why it stands far beyond competition.

Good protection for the money
My computer system has been protected by one of these units for over 8 years. Where I live, we get frequent power surges and interruptions, so the UPS is necessary. My only real reservations about these units are that the internal fan is noisy in some units, and the replacement lead-acid battery is way too expensive. I am on my third UPS in 8 years because I refuse to pay 70% of the cost of a new UPS for just a battery.

Great Deal
This an excellent deal for the money. Works great. Got one for work so I got one for home. At home I noticed a steady hummmm which was the fan. At work I didn't notice this. Still a great deal.

Works on Custom PC
Working great on new Dell Studio XPS 7100. This unit does not have True Sine Wave which causes issues on some Dell systems.
