I bought this for my wife's birthday. This is a sweet little camera! This is the first digital recorded that we have owned. The still pictures are a lot better than any of the still picture cameras that we have owned. The movies that this camcoder makes are very good quality. The thing that we love most about this camcorder is that it records to the SDHC card. This means that we don't have to fiddle with cables anymore. I still think that it is slow in taking pictures. That's the only con that I have found.

I've had mine for a couple of months now:
Positives:
- Small size
- Lack of motors to spin tapes or disks extend battery life
- Microphone port (VERY rare on a lower-cost camcorder)
- Simple transfer to a computer
- Very intuitive controls...and an ''Easy'' button if you're still confused
- 4:3 or 16:9 format
- Remote control is a plus when using a tripod since the camcorder isn't jostled when starting or stopping
Negative:
- The small, light size nearly requires the use of a tripod if an image is zoomed very much
I'm thrilled overall with this system. The images are great and the sound is good with the built-in mic and outstanding when I used a 3-mic setup running through a mixer. At under $300, this thing is an absolute steal.

I've used this for a couple of weeks, and couldn't be more pleased. Picture is plenty good enough, good battery life, usable software. Has plenty of doo-dads and features, I haven't used half of them. For a camera the size of a soda can that costs less than $300, the value is mind-numbing. Pull the trigger and buy it, you won't regret it.

I've had mine for a little over a month and I am in love!!MY first digital camcorder and it just may be the last one I need to buy.Hint:when you buy a SDHC card for it,be positive it is a class 6.Classes run from 1-6 with 6 being the fastest.Otherwise you'll be waiting all day for it to transfer it's files.I was astounded at how tiny this thing is.Best of all is NO TAPE DRIVE TO BREAK!!Only two moving parts. You really gotta buy this thing.
