I have 1 DVD with the universal code and the player will not show the menu. Pressing the ok button will let it play but you have no set up options. This is the only problem I have run across. I rent blue ray movies from NETFLIX and so far no problems. This unit does upgrade standard videos to 1080P much better than my old player does. |

The Samsung Blueray player has worked flawlessly over the last few weeks. It's hooked up to a Samsung flat screen, so as soon as a disc is loaded, the tv switches from the cable input to the hdmi input and starts loading the movie. I don't think the load time was too bad, just a little longer than a normal dvd player takes. A regular dvd looks great when using this unit.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy another reconditioned unit after my experience with this one. |

I actually had my son(22 yrs) hook the blu ray player up. It took him longer than I thought it would. I had dish, home theatre, ps2 and the old dvd player all connected to the TV and that means lots of wires and I did not have anything marked so I think that was part of the problem. Since hook up I have had no problems with the unit. It works great. I have only watched one movie so far that is an actual blu ray but it was fabulous and th 4 regular dvds worked fine. As I said in my headline - so far so good. This player was a good buy. |
