I replaced an IDE hard drive and of course the speed is awesome. I have a dual core 3.0g processor and with these hard drives Outlook opens in less than 1 second. Photoshop CS3 only takes 2.5 seconds to open. I can't scroll down fast enough to watch any number of thumbnails load in a folder, it's used to be a little cumbersome. I have two of these hooked up in a raid configuration and so far they work great. |

I purchased this as a second drive in my HP A6619F computer, install went smooth and no problems with Vista (64 bit) OS configuring it. Just so you know, this is an OEM drive, no hardware (mounting screws), cables or WD software so plan ahead when you buy this. Great drive for the money with excellant performance!! |
