This cooler delivers performance like coolers that cost way more. I got this when moving from my old E7400 to my new E8400 and me E8400 appreciates it so much. I'm at 3.6GHz and not breaking mid-50s in Orthos CPU stress test or mid-60s in Linpack. That's amazing. Recommend that you throw away the paper manual that comes with it and check out CoolerMaster's video on how to install it, available on Youtoob. |

I have been using this cooler since October, and it works well. There is nothing wrong with the mounting as in some of the other reviews. Yes, you do have to use a plate under the mobo to mount, but push pins would be pretty cheesey for an upgraded fan. Only problem I have encountered is that it is tall and I cant put the side panel on my case. Oh well, time for a new case! |

Cools a quad core i7 860 on a Gigabyte GA-
P55-UD3R board quite well. Idles at 27c and 45c under load using prime 95. This is only 4 degrees less at idle but 21 degrees less under load than the stock cooler. Overclocked temps are around 55c at 3.4 ghz.
The fan is quiet, even at full speed. Probably will not fit small and mid sized cases.
Mounting system sucks bad. Unless you install this when you build a pc, you need to remove the mobo.
Base was square and flat. Gaps between the pipes and base are small but I filled them with paste anyway. One pipe had a small dent where it contacts the processor. The base could have been polished better but this is what you get for this price.
This has been rated in the top 10 for coolers.
Used a silver thermal paste instead of what was supplied. |

For the price can't beat it. Keeps cpu and entire MOBO cool. A little big but no problems. |
