I have always had good luck with ViewSonic monitors but not this time. The screen contrast is very poor - text on white background looks washed out and is hard to read. I had to mess with screen settings to get a halfway decent picture. I thought LED monitors were supposed to be great - well not this one. This is the last ViewSonic monitor I will buy.

When I bought this monitor it was about 300 bux which wasn't bad for a monitor of this size with the specifications it has. I would of honostly prefer 2 HDMI and 1 DVI output as opposed to 2 HDMI and 1 VGA but thats what converter cables are for. The picture is clear and the color is way better than my old monitor. The response time is phenominal compared to most monitors, finding anything with a 1ms response time is rare. Any game I play is lookin real nice and clear. I'm not used to dynamic contrast so its a bit weird going from real dark areas to well lit, bright area's so I leave the dynamic contrast mode off. Put it on the sRGB present and your good to go or whatever you prefer, you can make your own color presets as well. Overall this monitor blows away any other monitor I have seen. The button placement could of been on the bottom of the monitor instead of the right side but its not a big deal. Overall this is probably the best monitor I've had

Very good and bright picture. When placed on the desk like a picture frame, takes a very reasonable footprint. Using the regular stand would have required me to modify my desk to fit. Speakers are horrible but I usually use headphones so not a problem for me. Adjustment controls are in a clumsy location but get the job done. All together a great value for the price.

I got one of these in trade for a debt. Since then I've bought two more. The three units are in a violent motion flight sim I built, and they take it like a grain of sand. The hdmi is great. The speakers, well, who cares. If anybody complains about anything, they didn't read the specs OR look at the pictures or got very poor equipment before the monitor....

The VX2753mh-LED features a very innovative industrial design, which allows it to be utilized with either the traditional base or in a bookstand configuration. Simply remove the base and tilt the neck back, to allow the monitor head to be displayed as a picture frame on the desktop. What is a LED monitor?
The term "LED monitor" generally refers to a monitor with a LCD panel and a LED backlight. A typical LCD monitor uses cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFL) as a light source to illuminate the LCD panel. In an LED backlit monitor, white LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are used as the light source. Environmentally friendly LED backlight provide the following benefits:

MEGA dynamic contrast ratio
One of the great features of VX2753mh-LED is its ability to dim the backlight completely for pure darkness during dark scenes such as a night shot in a movie. Contrast ratios refer to the ratio of the brightest color to the darkest color. With traditional CCFL backlit displays, contrast ratios are limited to the fluorescent lamp’s ability to dim in order to reproduce darkness. However, with the LED backlight, each LED has the ability to completely shut off allowing for a near infinite ratio of black to white contrast. The end result is true blacks that result in greater overall image quality.
What is response time?
Response time in monitors refer to the amount of time a pixel (dot) takes to go from black to white and back to black again. It is measured in milliseconds (ms). The lower the number, the faster the pixels can change, reducing the ghosting or streaking effect you might see in a moving or changing image such as in games and movies.
Common response times range anywhere from 14ms to 5ms. Monitors that are designed for faster applications feature response times as fast as 2ms. These monitors are ideal for gamers, video enthusiasts, engineers and movie production houses.
