I am very happy with this receiver. I especially like the Dynamic Range Control that keeps the sound level from getting too quiet or too loud. The sound quality is quite nice and it has ample inputs to choose from. My only complaint is that the iPod controls are very limited. The music is always sorted alphabetically and always starts at the beginning. The audio delay (for syncing the video) is not long enough for some movies, but it is great that you can try to sync the audio. I think it was a good buy. |

I went from knowing very little about digital receivers and home theater system to putting together my current system in a matter of a few weeks. I did a quick study and decided on the HW-C500. I have been very pleased. Setup with straightforward and I am very satified with the quality and appearance. |

I replaced a 5 year old NAD high end receiver with this Samsung. It is a bit tricky to figure out the setup, so I had to contact Samsung online chat help. They were great about answering my questions and I got everything set up and working properly. I am really impressed with this unit, even more so considering the price. The sound is clean and smooth, and the surround modes work fantastic. Movies and music sound qreat. I highly recommend it. |

Couldn't get it to do anything. Used HDMI cables, so hookup was easy. Customer service said it was a connection problem. I told the guy I thought it was a setting on the unit, but he said they couldn't be changed. Luckily a friend came over and found the problem. The digital signal setting was turned off. Plays fine now. Great buy. |
