I have been able to recover all the data on the 2 hard disks which were in my PC with a defective motherboard.
I'm also impressed by the access speed. Great product at an inexpensive cost

Now I don't have to buy an enclosure for every drive I replace from my computers, desktop or laptop. I essentially have 500 GB thumb drives, now. It works great with no problems whatsoever. Only complaint is the 1 TB max HD capacity, although I haven't tested it as my largest drives are 1 TB. |

This dock is easy to use and install. Plug it in and it works. Think of it as a portable toaster for your external hard drive. I take it with me to do work at home, share pictures and music with friends. Plop in a hard drive, and there you go. It doesn't get easier than this. A push of a button and out pops the external hard drive. Put another one in the dock-Bam! Your are business with a whole new set of data. Superb! |

Easy to connect and was recognized by Windows XP and 7 right away. Took overnight to clone a 500gb drive ranging from 8mb to 15mb per second on a usb2. But, the information was all there. I think a firewire option would increase throughput. |
