I have had mulittude of loactioons it cannot find
and when you do it tell you to turn right when where you want to go is on the left. From my homes loaction to the neighborhood Lowes's. I had
a Garman GS530 before this one and it worked better, of course I had to pay ot update it so it would get me out of my driveway. I think my next one will be something different.

My two biggest beefs are the lack of street names and screwed up directions.
Had a Harman Kardan tha I thought was not the greatest but it dispalyed 10 times as many street names as this 255W. Lucky to have 3 names displayed at one time- not even the street at the stop at an off ramp.
Also it takse me way off line on very established routes. Home and work are unbeleivably wrong. Tried all the settings and still detours me to nowhere lands. Sold it on Kijiji after 3 months. Not sure what i wil try next.

This was an upgrade to a Garmin 205 which doesn't have Canadian maps. It worked beautifully on a trip to Halifax. The only problem I encountered is the fact it doesn't recognize one-way streets so I had to make a few detours, but it helped me to do that also. I like the fact that it also gives the street names at your turns which my earlier model doesent. I advise anyone buying a lower end product to carefully check on the features to make sure you are buying a model with the features you need. This site is a great source for discounts on brand name models. I am very pleased with this site.
