Was first lcd monitor purchase. Features it has are great like alien space aged stuff for controls. no buttons just sensors making it look sleek. Large display for 20 inch. was going to get larger glad i didnt for space i have. Very bright and clean looking screen. Only wished had a few more features like vesa mount and hdmi plug. Hdmi not that big a deal, can get a cable for that, but wished had vesa mount so have more future options, since a flat screen with mounting options is pretty basic option. This thing is such a feather light. I can easily pickup with one hand which is nice compared to my crt monitor that weighs alot. Also wished the mounting plate tilted alittle more. If your not that concerned about the missing features, this is probably one of the best monitors you can buy for the price with the response time and dynamic contrast ratio. |

This glossy monitor is attractive, stylish and offers a larger set of features than most. Images are very good. My one complaint is that you have to be directly in front of the monitor to view anything on the screen. LG falsely claims that the monitor provides a 160 degree viewing angle. Actually, if you deviate from 90 degrees in any direction, the image quickly degrades. This isn't a problem if you just sit directly in front of the monitor. However, I also use the monitor to watch television while I'm exercising. My other 20 inch monitor provides an equally nice image and viewing angle that truly reaches 160 degrees. If you plan on moving around the room while using the monitor, I recommend a different brand. Otherwise, the LG is great. |

I replaced a generic standard 17-inch LCD monitor with this LG. I wanted something widescreen for Netflix streaming and a little more real-estate. After seeing some of these at the stores, looking at reviews and comparing prices, I decided this one would work. At first I didn't like this monitor. It's nice and wide, but the text was too small compared to my other monitor and it seemed I had a lot of wasted space. After some playing with the monitor's and computer's settings, I'm beginning to change my mind. I put the text size to large and the view's zoom to 125 percent. Now I can see the text well and the extra width supplies the extra real-estate I was originally looking for. The display has vivid images and the color is natural looking. It doesn't have an HDMI input, but my computer doesn't have an output either. The touch buttons take a little getting used to, but works OK. If given a chance, it's like my review headline says - this monitor grows on you. |
