This printer was refurbished and is in excellent condition!! Had no problems installing it and it works great!! For the money, this is an excellent buy!! Installation was momentarily stopped because the new computer I put it with has Windows 7 but you can easily remedy this with the OS! Shipping was outstanding and I am very pleased with the purchase! thanks again Tigerdirect!! |

Its a good printer and copier but scanning is a bit cumbersome when you have vista. (I know, its my fault for having vista in the first place!) You can't use the bundled software to scan you actually have to go through and use vista's scan software. |

I will start by saying my networking skills are average at best and the installation showed it. My first attempt failed miserably because I clicked on the let the software find your network info for you vs. the enter the info yourself section about what type of connection I wanted. I do not advise allowing the software to do it for you. Instead, do it yourself. All you need is your network name and password. I choose the first option, what a mistake! It took a complete uninstall and a two hour phone call to reverse that problem.
Had I known more about networking, I may have found an easy fix in a few minutes. Once past that problem, the install went smoothly because I now knew what to do. The first install did require that the USB cable be hooked up. I thought that odd, but it did work. I installed it on 2 XP machines and one Vista PC. very happy with the printer. It is NOT for heavy users. |
