Its nice to have a UPS with all the outlets backuped, instead of just a few. My regret is that its remote port is serial, not USB, and this detail is not mentioned anywhere in the ad. My computers don't have serial ports, so I'll need a USB-to-serial adaptor to talk to it. |

What a great product!! this Opti-UPS ES1000C has been with me for a little over a year now and it has been delivering me consistent power during power fluctuations, and when during black-out occurs, it gives me enough time (~20 mins) for me to finish whatever i was doing and to shut down my systems. I compared this Opti-UPS unit with market-equivalent products from other makers, and i can clearly state that at this price, Opti-UPS ES1000C is simply the best pick on market. |

The power has gone out maybe four times in the past six months in my suburban Westchester County, NY home. The UPS kicks in, starts beeping, and I have at least five minutes to do whatever before shutting down system. I haven't tested it to see how many minutes it will go, but I had it running for 10 or more minutes under a relatively high load once. If you paid alot for your computer and can't risk losing data then the peace of mind you get from having this is priceless. |

I look at all the products on the web site, look at how it's made, user freindy, logical, how it's lay-out will work in my system, specs, and above all, it's quality and of course the price. opti-ups build a high quality products for this model, i've bought many of this es1000c. i have to say great! stuff.
Tigerdirect doesn't stock that much product line of opti-ups, but i still love to shop at tigerdirect, because of fast shipping. |

Excellent Value. It was worked for me for the last 2 years with no problems at all. Has plenty of power and it will run my now old system for at least and hour. convenient self-test function, good feedback from panel lights. We had a power outage today (still going on) and the ES1000 powered a Dell desktop and monitor along with DSL modem, PIX firewall, and switch - and the inkjet printer too - for over half an hour until, finding out that the outage would be overnight, I shut down the computer & printer. The other little stuff ran for another two hours, then I shut them down too. Much better than the 500VA it replaced, which crapped out within a couple of minutes.

Don't let the meek design of this UPS fool you. It has the power and reliability that is at par with the top brands in the market. I think it's the most silent UPS available today. |

i have a APC BR1500, 1500VA/865W, i was looking for a replacement battery from APC, and i can't believe how much APC just charge me for almost $100 for an replace battery? and with this $100, i can get a OPTI ES1000C, 1000VA/700W, just few watts short then what i am using, but price is sooo good, it's like a great steal, thaks Tigerdirect for having OPTI . OPTI, u rocks..!! |

The recent blackout on the Eastern seaboard of North American sent 50 million homes into the dark, along with countless computers. Runs 2 servers, and 2 routing devices under load for 20min, going to get a few more of these... should run a desktop pc for well over 30-45 min..
