Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 750GB Hard Drive
Today’s wealth of information can make you say that your digital storage space is never enough. Add more with the largest, most reliable disc drive around, Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 750GB Hard Drive. Increased areal density and dependability for workstations and performance PCs is assured because of the new perpendicular recording technology that supports vertically stored data bits. With this massive hard drive storage, you can easily store up a universe of your digital assets which include but are not limited to photos, videos, music, and other digital data.
Perpendicular Recording Storing data vertically is superior to horizontally stored data. A proven technology, perpendicular recording is gaining ground in storing data vertically after more than 10 years of research because it significantly enhanced the capacity and dependability of storing data vertically which means mean increased data density—and more gigabytes per platter.

Despite so many bad reviews this drive has worked fine for me. I've had it since June 2008. The only thing making me hesitate before buying another is that it is the only thing lowering my system rating in Vista (Windows Experience Index). It's dragging my system down to a 5.4...

Hi All,
These drives are fine.. Quiet and perform very well for 10th generation Seagate.. I have 2 x 250gb 7200.10 working flawlessly.. Albeit older then the 12 gens going for the same price.. Some people seem to think these drives have firmware issues... The only barracudas listed for firmware upgrades at Seagate are the 7200.11 series (11th generation) of drives and other diamondmax drives..

My computer has 2 of these, hard drive failed just after 4 months. Conducted online search, Seagate website acknowledges they are having problems with these drives failing. I would try another brand.

Drive was installed into a Nextar LAN case. I turned the case on its side to stack on top of another Nexstar case and the drive went blooey.
I created an RMA through the Seagate website and sent the drive back packed as instructed. My RMA was declined because
