I had looked at several suppressors at the stores, but chose to purchase this site' Belkin 12-outlet surge suppressor because I wanted the Belkin name and quality. The other lesser-known names I didn't trust & they had features I didn't want nor need. I love the way the outlets are laid out. I don't have to worry about where to put all the plugs. In fact, I bought this for one place in my office and ended up using it on my PC equipment. I also was surprised by the protection for the cable connection and phones. More than expected for the price and with the Belkin name and quality! Very happy! |

I ordered these to replace the ones we had purchased at wally world. They are great, I am no longer having tiny brown outs on my pc. |

Yep. I love this thing. A few weeks after I got it, a rather nasty thunder storm came through Michigan (where I live). My mom's computer's USB ports all fried. Everything else still sorta works on it, but those are shot. A power surge hit her house, and when she turned it back on, it was no more. Multiple power surges came through my place, but, thanks to this, my computer is just fine. Which is good, because I spent a great deal of time, effort, and money to build it. |

As it turns out, my 12 outlet strip has only 11 functional outlets. I haven't found a plug that will stay in the top middle (as pictured) outlet. BTW, if you want to mount it on the wall, the keyhole mounting holes require you to mount it upside down from the picture. I labeled all the plugs first, but now the labels are on the bottom, because I didn't notice that until later.
There is a sticker over the phone jacks that say it's important to plug the input and output phone and coax lines into their proper jacks for the suppressor to work. Unfortunately, those jacks aren't labeled and the instruction sheet drawing doesn't look like the item, so it's useless. Belkin hasn't responded to an email in over a week. |
