After using this product for 3000 miles I found the audio would stop. After rebooting it things picked up again. There is some slowness in response time when touching the screen at times.
Other than a few minor problems its a pretty helpful item.

I just got my unit Friday and I'm very pleased with it. After a lengthy firmware update, it was out to the car for testing.
The windshield mount feels rock solid and isn't too bulky. Satelite aquisition time was about 30 sec. The menu and virtual keyboard are laid out thoughtfully so my fat fingers find the right choices easily. Navigation to serveral destinations around my city were flawless and the voice prompts will let you know if you are comming up on fast consecutive turns. One annoying thing is for highway exits you get a voice prompt 2 miles out, 0.5 miles out and again just before the turn. Too much in my opinion. It will tell you what lane you need to be in for the turm if there are multiple lanes. Thats handy for florida's missmatched highway on-ramps.Oh and the bluetooth for handfree with my phone is pretty nice too.
Overall its a great $250 unit. Tiger is the only one with the sale now unless you can find a compusa near you that has it in stock.
Happy Traveling.

I saw this on here for $199 and couldn't resist after seeing what Best Buy and Circuit city were asking for the same model. I was skeptical at first of getting a Magellan GPS because I really wanted a Garmin, but the price sold me on this one. I'm extremely happy I chose the Magellan 4040! Some country roads are listed as County roads on the map instead of their road names, but if you're familiar with the area it's no big deal, at least the road is still on the map. I've only noticed a few roads that were missing, but they are fairly new and Magellan has announced a map update for the 4040 sometime in Q2 of 2008, so it's not far away, maybe that will also fix the county road issues. The bluetooth feature is great for hands free calling! For everything the 4040 offers for the price tiger is selling it for, you can't go wrong! Get it if you're thinking about it!
