I have purchased the QLR0440 for installation on a Dell Inspiron 530 with a Windows Vista Basic 32-bit OS. I installed this with 2 Night Owl brand night vision cameras. You must take note that Lorex advises that this PCI card will not work on a 64-bit OS. Since the OS I was installing on was 32-bit, I was good to go. Lorex advises that you need to go to their web site to download additional Windows Vista device drivers for the QLR0440. After I installed and was ready to download these additional drivers, I called Lorex Tech Support to verify the correct driver download. The Lorex Tech had me log him into my system to check. After he checked it out, he told me that I did not need to download additional drivers. The system is working as expected except for email notifications**. The motion detection seems to work very well. The camera on the front of the house picked up motion all the way across the street when set at maximum distance, well over 112'. This system isn't the greatest i'll give it that. The picture is fuzzy at best. But with the software you can take a still and clean it up real nice. This is a big system hog i'm running a dual core 3.0ghz with 2gb ram and at any givin point its using 60% or more of that. I do however enjoy being able to log on from a different location and move my PTZ camera around.
This product is very much buyer beware. But all in all i found it easy to install and use. although my cameras power plug doesn't fit into the pci card.

I wish there was a way to return this and get my money back. I purchased 3 systems and sold it to 3 freinds and what a mess, now they are upset. I never knew they can make something that gives you such a horrible image.
