1st build and I choose this - very good choice. Intel E5200, 320gb and 640gb, Rosewill R2 JBOD with 1tb usb enclosure and a usb dvd/cd drive. Wish it had more usb ports due to keyboard and mouse taking 2, but I knew that going in. Be very careful tightening screws for drive cage and thumbscrews on back - easy to strip. Haven't tried the eSata yet, but googling shows there may be problems. Great Ubuntu (8.04 and 9.04) box. I would recommend this to anyone.
I eventually want to turn it into an media center PC. Right now teaching myself Linux/Ubuntu
NOTE: I never rate at 5 or 1 - always something to nitpick (see comment about screws above).
To all those that complain about this system - read the specs and do the research before buying. Yes, the case is small and air flow is an issue - don't overload it with components that will exacerbate the problem. |

I really like this system I run a Core2 Duo 2.13Ghz. It took a while to find a good performing graphics card for it though. The low watt PSU can be an issue. I settled on the Asus EAH4670 with HDMI, and no audio wire is required. Gets the Dig Audio through the PCIe bus. No overheating problems or lack of power from the PSU. The fan on the card runs all the time making some noise, but not too loud. |

Awesome little box.. I am current;y running it as a media center and it is quiet and does it's job. It was easy to setup and the ICE cooling system works well and allows for (2) HDD's to be installed. 2 thumbs up for shuttle |

Very good and easy to build. I am using Quad Q6600 and still not too hot and the fan is quiet.
If there is a coaxial S/PDIF rather than Optical, that will be better.Even that I am still very happy with it! |

this case was absolutly the worst case to use to build a comp. unless ur just gunna surf the internet or do anything that creates no heat at all, i say this thing is alright, this case has absolutly no air flow. the powersupply is bad also, and the fan on my motherboard burned out witch lead to the frying of my vid card and sound card! i do not recc. this family of cases. get a mid or full tower! |
