Navigate With Ease
nüvi 200 comes preloaded with City Navigator® NT map data for the continental U.S., Hawaii and Puerto Rico (no Alaska or Canada detail) or one European region or country. Simply touch the color sunlight-readable screen to enter a destination, and nüvi takes you there with 2D or 3D maps and turn-by-turn voice directions. In addition, nüvi 200 accepts custom points of interest (POIs) such as school zones and safety cameras and lets you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs.

Like the rest of the nüvi 200-series, nüvi 200 sports a sleek, slim design and fits comfortably in your pocket or purse. Its rechargeable lithium-ion battery makes it convenient for navigation by car or foot.

Navigation is just the beginning. nüvi 200 includes many travel tools including JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones, currency converter, measurement converter, calculator and more. My unit failed after about 4 months. The warranty is not long enough to justify paying such a high percentage of the price of a new one. I used to buy many refurbs but it doen not seem like the manufactures refurb them at all. |

Works well right out of the box. Was hoping for better directions, though. It is not always accurate. It sent me in a circle more than once. I did buy the lifetime map update, but I still have to use a local map, sometimes to find my destination. I use it mostly in Bergen County, New Jersey. |

Purchased this Garmin for my wife who claimed she did not want a GPS. Even she was impressed on how easy it is to use and what features it has for the money. I have the Nuvi 750 and quite honestly the 200 only lacks in the fact that it does not have a wide screen and the spoken directions are for turns only, not street names. Other than that, I don't really see the need for an upper level Garmin unless you need all the bells and whistles. This is an excellent value and it is quite easy to use right out of the box. I highly recommend it. |
