For USB driven sound, its amazing. They are sleeky speakers that produce great fidelity of sound. The sub doesnt punch as hard as my 5.1 logitech speakers, but it still sounds amazing. I am thoroughly satisfied with this product.

I have been living on campus for more than a month now and have own these speakers for about three weeks. This, i believe, was the best purchase i have made in college. The drivers (in the speakers themselves) are very clear and crisp. I love the fact that they are digital sound processing. It makes the sound sound like you are actually there. There is a song called bass bender; it is truly a test to see how well your bass driver handles the high low gain. This pass with amazing results. I couldnt pass up the priced. Great Speakers! Thank you Logitech!!!

This set sounds awesome, no doubt about that. I'm running them without the software app on windows 7 ultimate retail version. The software that comes with this set is bloated and useless in my opinion, but if you choose to install it you can do some neat things with the included remote - jump to videos, music, pics, and navigate through them from a distance. I'm using these speakers at my desk, so that sort of thing is just not that important to me - in fact, i would rather ditch the remote except that's the only way to turn the speakers on and off! For those complaining about the shorter cords, I solved this problem for under $10 with a set of (rca) composite cables and 2 female to female adapters - now I have the sub to the side of my large desk and speakers on either back corner like I wanted. I was between this set and a creative labs gigaworks t20 series II 2.0 set - get a 2.1 set, the sub moves air and makes all the difference.
Works great, love the remote with media center

I added these speakers with a larger flat screen monitor and now can enjoy my media through Media Center. Works good and the remote made sense after I spent some time ''playing'' with it. Don't expect to set this up 10 minutes before a big game or movie and expect to find all the options quickly.
The speakers can be mounted on brackets to add a better theatre experience. I have a small space, so this is perfect. The sub doesn't dominate the sound. If I had a large media room, I would opt for a 5.1 sound system.

I am using Windows 7 RC first of all, and all the media center features work perfectly. The speakers are great, I have been loving them. The software on the other hand is horrid, crashes constantly. I have a quicklaunch for the software and have gotten used to the annoyance, so if you can deal with opening the software maybe 10 times a day really quick then you should have no problems.

It seems to be a bit quiet for some types of media input; I had expected more volume given the system power ratings.
Also, for it seems to require the remote for operation, and that can be a bad thing in enviroments where loose objects grow legs.
Great Purchase

This is an excellent buy for it's price...as one of the orther reviewers wrote, this system has a remote that lets you change the volume of the unit or a song on iTunes, which is great. It's not a 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound but I couldn't tell the difference when I watched movies or played computer games with it on. Excellent sound quality, I've had this system for over a month now and no problems.
I have returned it

Those who were able to take advantage of the great deal for these speakers know what an exceptional purchase this was. The speakers sound fantastic, full range of music is covered, crisp highs and deep bass. The remote works well with my iTunes' basic functions and not haveing to go to my computer to adjust the volume is great. For the money these are probably the best speakers you can get. If you have the chance, I highly recommend them!
