This is my first shuttle, and boy am I happy with it. It supports socket 775 which should support your duo/quad core chips easily. It even has a feature that lets you overclock it. It's quieter than most towers I've seen under a full load. For those of you who wants to know if this thing can fit new video cards that takes up two slots...it can. But barely! |

I built a system on this base last summer, and I have to say... WOW! Rock solid FAST, and versatile!
A lot of people think 'how can that little thing be as powerful as a full/mid-sized system?'
Well, this is my main machine that I use for a lot of video editing, gaming and other multimedia, and it's NEVER skipped a beat!
- Elegant aesthetics, would look great in an office.
Shuttles may seem expensive at first, but they're really comparable to more 'traditional styles'.
- The power supply and motherboard are pre-installed and wired... very neatly. Just drop in your CPU, RAM and drives and you're done!
True, with their size there's not as much room for expansion, but... 8 USB, 2 1394, Gigabit, handles 8 GB RAM,4 SATA 2 + 2 E-SATA/SPDIF & (very nice) digital audio.
-Manufacturer is very responsive.
I've been using Shuttles for 5+ years now and have been loving the experience! |

Seems to be a very good computer. Make sure you get correct memory(Transcend was the only model Tiger had for this based on Shuttles specifications and it was bad out of box). Make sure your video card will fit as well. I installed an XFX non fan cooled...bad idea until I added an extra fan! Otherwise small, speedy computer. Thanks Tiger! |
