Nice unit. Seems slow on the eSATA connection, but that may be my computer. Fastest data transfer rate I got was 32MBs, using the eSATA cable and 23MBs using the supplied USB cable.

Was looking for a 1T external hard drive to back up my iMac and purchased this unit. The only thing I notice is the drive tends to chatter a bit when it's working. I had read this in a review before I purchased it and do not find it a distraction. As I have only had this drive a short time, I cannot comment on its durability. I would recommend this as a great value for the price.

Unit has performed well for a backup drive. Worked as a plug and play drive did not need any additional drivers to set up with Windows Vista.
The drive does have to be formatted and takes several hours.
