GREAT netbook
my only gripe is on the keyboard the comma period and backslash keys are too small and can get annoying when youre surfing the web or typing a paper
best netbook you can get in the 300 dollar price range and i would definitely buy from this company again |

So far this netbook has met my expectations of it. Once I upgrade the memory to 2GB, I know I will like it better as switching between task will be faster. So far the only problem I have had is also with the touchpad and the buttons being hard to press. Most of the time I use a USB notebook mouse though so this is a minor issue. I would recommend purchasing another case for this, because the included one has no pockets to keep the power adapter, flash drive, mouse, etc.. Overall all though an excellent product. |

The MSI Wind does all the tasks netbooks are made for. However, it has a somewhat cheap feel to it compared to others in the same price range. In addition, the touchpad is very basic with no options other than cursor movement. You are not able to scroll or manipulate photo size and both the right and left touchpad buttons are difficult to press. Overall, good netbook but poor ergonomics. |

I purchased this netbook for school purposes and it lived up to all of my expectations.
The fact that it came with the 6 cell battery and N280 processor vs other netbooks in the same price range with 3 cells and an N270 was really nice.It runs XP smoothly so long as you don't attempt to multi task too much.
I usually got a bit over 5 hours of battery life with power saving functions on. I usually used it for word processing and browsing the web.
I gave it a 4 on features because you cannot upgrade the memory or harddrive with out removing the entire bottom cover. I do not know if this voids the warranty but there is a sticker indicating it might.
I would have given it a perfect score on performance had it been able to play 720 video reliably, it ALMOST has enough power but it usually stutters. |

Thanks for this detailed information on the Wind U123. I think it's great for people on the go. The lightweight capabilities make it easy to store away in a small bag or backpack. The U123 looks very sharp and the color red adds some spicy flavor to its chic design. Plus all the key features such as the Intel Atom processor, 160GB hard drive, Genuine Windows XP Home Edition, WLAN wireless technology and 6-cell Lithium-ion battery that comes equipped on this machine seem very impressive for a tiny laptop. You mentioned the U123 comes with a 6-cell battery, but there is no information on how long the battery life lasts. Will there be an update on this? In my opinion, overall a great laptop for the price listed. |
