There have been some reviews that say you cannot put 2GB of RAM in this... NOT TRUE. You can put in 2 GB of RAM, I did and it's working great. very easy to change out. Excellent value, runs office great. using chrome for my browser - works awesome. bought for class - much lighter to carry around than my laptop. Would def buy again. |

DO NOT REPEAT DO NOT purchase this product. First, for just approximately $40.00 more you can buy a netbook that has a real 160GB HD; and memory expandable to at least 2GB. The 16GB solid state drive is simply not worth the space it occupies.
Second, and most important is that the manufacturer nor distributor provide the necessary support required for this piece of garbage.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!! |

The netbook is very nice, and worked just fine. It was shipped fast and in good packaging. I had to return it because it didn't suit my needs but definately a great machine for net usage. Stylist too. I was very impressed for the way customer service handled my call to return the item, they were very professional and accomodating. For a 1st time experience (with this site), this was a great one! |

Bought in Sept. 09 turned on, set up as gift for wife. Wrapped for Xmas. She opened it and the screen would not work. And HP does all service through India for junk made in China, and charges like it was made in America with American service. HP is now a ripoff like DELL. |

This thing is perfect for what i purchased it for, a traveling buddy for trips and for classes to take notes instead of lugging around notebooks and looseleaf binders, It's so cute and compact, great build quality. For the price this is more than a bargain! |

I bought it refurbished and it got here pretty quickly but less than a week it wouldnt even turn on..... so I destroyed it!,wahaha!. |

This is a fantastic little computer. Try Ubuntu netbook remix 9 on it - it works WAY better than XP. The whole OS uses about 2GB, so you have 14GB left over.
The SSD is great, long battery life and no heat from a hard drive.

Be careful with this product. I saw all the good reviews, but mine came with a screen problem. The top part where you minimize the screen you could only see half of the button, it was like it was perpetually stuck up at the top. I called HP to see what was going on, and they said they would replace it. But 3 weeks later, NOTHING. They claim they had the wrong serial number. Second time I called li got transferred to 3 different guys who complained on computer systems when then took 20 minutes to find my follow up request. So inefficient.
If your computer has a flaw, return it immediately. Do not wait for HP service, its TERRIBLE (or maybe don't call late a night when everything is outsourced, who know...)
All in all a good product, just slow. Refurbished not really that worth it if you're unlucky. Just watch out! |

I got this little gem for me to use at work, since it is so small. I have another brand 10.1 and this is just as good. I use an external CD-rom DVD player for my optical needs. I would definately advise anyone who wants a 2nd lil pc for whatever to get this lil gem of a refurb! |
