Stock HannsNote runs Xp well - unhibernates fast.
Norton is a resouce hog - I suggest AVG Free.
Used for a month.
Restored the system by hitting F3 ar the boot prompt - runs fast from HD - peraonal setting retained - some programs need reinstallation.
Added BT mouse, USB DVD writer, USB HD, USB TV tuner, USB speakers.
BT PAN works fine.
Authoered MS Word docs, authored DVDs, watched Robots 16x9 - Rob Williams is a scream.
Watched CTV HDTV OTA.
LED backlight great - batteries adequate.
Shall I add a GIG of membory now or wait until the warranty expires?

Units is performing well and had only one issue. ordered wrong ram module for expansion to 2 gig. I ordered a 2 gig unit assuming ram was slotted come to find 1 gig was on the main board. Order only the 1 gig simm to upgrade this unit. Will not run on more than 2 gig. THB |

Does everything as advertised and a great little netbook - I love that you can upgrade the memory with the addition of a 1gb chip for a total 2gb (as opposed to some netbooks that require the replacement of the existing 1gb with a 2gb chip). The balance of the unit is a little tipsy to the rear with the way the screen is fixed to the base, but this is not a problem on a hard surface (tips on my lap) - I noticed my wife's Acer One does not have this problem as the six-cell battery creates better balance at the rear. A small issue for an amazing netbook - I love using this with a bluetooth mouse! |

I wanted a netbook for portability but needed something more than my smartphone (screen size in particular). This netbook does it wonderfully. Small, light and goes a good long time with the bigger battery, it does exactly what I wanted. Travels good on a plane, large enough to read the screen and type on the keyboard, charges up quickly. This netbook is also a great price compared to others with similar features. Now my employer wants to buy two for work! |

If your not a gamer or graphics nut this unit works really well. I put an extra gig of memory in. It is very portable and rugged. It has the 6 cell battery which is a nice feature as well as bluetooth.
Two thumbs up. |
