I ordered this online Thursday 1:30 in the morning and it was on my doorstep when I got home from work on Friday afternoon. Fastest shipping ever. I hooked up to my MacBook Pro 15' and the backup started without having to do anything but plug it in!! Extremely easy to use. There is also a video on this website that gives a brief description of the Seagate products. Amazingly simple, even for a girl! hee-hee. Thank you TigerDirect. I got this drive a few weeks ago to use as a TIme Machine backup for my MacBook Pro, and to supplement my SuoerDuper partition clones on a larger drive. The FW800 and dock really make this a nice package. The drive is very fast and initial Time Machine backup of over 350GB was extremely speedy (didn't really time it, though). It wakes from sleep with the Mac and has worked without randomly disconnecting like some FW drives I've used in the past. So far, I'm very pleased. I just hope it holds up over the long haul. |

I like that fact that I can take my computer anywhere without having to bring the laptop with me. Sharing files with my other friends is very easy and fast because of the firewire port that comes with it. The dock is very useful as so are the other cables such as the USB and firewall cables. All the cables come with it that makes it wonderfully compatible. Its easy on the eyes and very fast. I am not disappointed at all with my purchase. No complaints. |
