Bought this to make the move from 802.11b to 802.11g, because all of my 802.11b WAPs were getting drowned-out by the neighbors 802.11g networks.
When this this is working well, it is great; unfortunately, it tends to have spans of time when it seems to lock-up and become unresponsive. I have to unplug the power for a moment and then plug it back in, then it works fine again.
This is an apparent known issue with this WAP and Netgear just can't seem to figure out what is wrong with the firmware to fix it.
However, compared to my old Linksys 802.11b WAPs, this thing is golden. |

I bought this to hook into an existing network. Didn't read the setup instructions, so had to install it twice. Works great. Beats running wires. Great signal strength upstairs and 40' away. |
