Intel 9th Generation Core i7-9700K CPU (Coffee Lake, 8/8 Cores/Threads, 3.6GHz Base, 4.9GHz Boost, Socket LGA 1151 (300 Series), 95W TDP Desktop Processor), Model BX80684I79700K
The i7-9700K is a 9th generation Core i7 CPU. It has 8 cores, each running at 3.6 GHz. It has integrated UHD 630 graphics. The "K" designation means that the CPU is unlocked.
Like all Coffee Lake CPUs, this requires a 300 series Socket LGA 1151 motherboard.
This scored a 261 in our CompUSA Processor Benchmark test, which is comfortably above the step-down i5-9600k (194), and comfortably below the step-up i9-9900K (335). The i9-9900K has the same 8 cores running at 3.6 GHz, but it adds hyperthreading, so there are 16 threads.
The competitive Ryzen 7 3700X and 3800X both scored much higher in our benchmark, at 406 and 416, respectively.
For gaming, specifically at lower resolutions, this card can have some advantages over the equivalent Radeon cards.
