Most people dream of travel to foreign lands, and often that foreign land is in the United Kingdom. British Airways is a way to get there, as well to international destinations the world over. As the flag carrier airline of the vast United Kingdom, they are headquartered at Waterside, Harmondsworth, close to their main hub at the giant London Heathrow Airport. They have grown to become the second largest airline in the U.K., based on their huge fleet size and the number passengers carried, falling just behind easyJet. The airline has amassed a fleet size of 281 aircraft and these planes travel out to over 183 destinations. They strive to offer year-round low fares to all on their extensive global route network, flying to and from centrally-located airports. On their website, you can view so many of the ways the Airline interacts with the world at large, with the Media Centre and news available to read, information about the charitable sponsorship and events they offer, their affiliate programme, where you can earn commission on booking referred from your website, learn about the company and its fleet or what they have upcoming, reach about the classic supsersonic Concorde and other Bristish Airways history. Learn about their engineering and ground handling services, aviation training products, responsible flying in the modern world, and so much more. You can also learn about the travel class levels, and find out if their Executive Club is made for you, if you are a frequent international flyer. Some of the benefits of booking with British Airways include flexible fares and price points, complimentary food and drinks on all long-haul flights, free seat selection with 24 hours of departure, no charge if paid by debit or credit cards, no charge to check-in, a generous free bag allowance, day trip return fares to popular European destinations, a choice of cabins on all flights and collecting Avios on every flight.

Shopping Tips

  1. If you register online, you can access personal offers, manage your bookings in one place and save details for easier bookings.
  2. RetailMeNot.com has offers, like 10% Off Sitewide.
  3. Use online tools like ExpertFlyer to show me exactly how many tickets are left in each fare bucket. For those that don’t know, each cabin has at least 2 selling classes. First is usually F, A or P, Business J, I, C, D, Z, so on, so forth. Look for cabins that are sold out or near sold out in economy, premium and business. Landing a seat on one of these flights makes you at least 50% more likely to get an upgrade, regardless if you have status, which of course, will help if you do. When it’s sold out, they need to move people to make room.
